“I've always painted and drawn, but one year I spent most of my spare time making a very short hand-drawn animated film. The process of making all the drawings to show a person walking or a horse galloping sparked my fascination with repeat patterns. I've never made another animation, but continue to create and color patterns for cotton and silk, scarves and sofas, handbags and paper products. “
